Dear Substack,
I’m writing to you from my dimly lit studio space in Madison, TN. It’s summertime… June 27th ( my 25th half-birthday) and it’s raining. I should be recording a custom song for a client right now, but a friend of mine told me to check out Substack.. SO here I am. Thank you, Michael with
!I’m really excited about this opportunity to connect with my people more openly and to share in real-time all that I’m learning on this creative journey as an existential indie-folk-singer-songwriter.
I’ve lived in Nashville for almost 7-years. They call it a 10-year town ‘cause that’s how long it takes to “make it”. BUT if I’ve learned anything while living here, it’s that we’re “making it” allll the time. Every good song you write, every inspiring person you meet, every new city you get to explore is a making it moment! I can’t wait to share all of these moments, the good and the bad, and the songs that come out of it all.
Thanks for being here:)
P.S - I struggle naming things…. any ideas for what we should call this Substack? Songstack? Song Shack? It doesn’t have to rhyme…
